Starting out with Mobil 1 motor oil
Once upon a time, serious car enthusiasts were known to take delivery of their new high-performance cars and change the factory oil to Mobil 1 synthetic oil before they even let the tires touch the pavement – just to make sure that their precious engines were protected by the best oil available from the very first mile. That was then. Today, more than 35 models roll off the factory line with Mobil 1 advanced synthetic oil.
General Motors selected Mobil 1 motor oil as factory fill for all 2014 and 2015 Camaro Z/28 models. Mobil 1 synthetic motor oil is designed at the molecular level to provide outstanding protection against weather conditions, wear and sludge buildup, and is a perfect choice for drivers that demand the most out of their high-performance vehicles. The two highest-performance Camaros – the Z/28 and the COPO Camaro drag car – feature Mobil 1 right from the factory.
Mobil 1 synthetics were GM's first choice when the manufacturer began developing the racing Corvette in 1996 under the stewardship of Doug Fehan, a former American racer turned program manager who has established himself as one of the most respected team principals in sports car racing. World Sports Car and Trans-Am titles were the forerunners to his current unrivaled winning streak with Corvette Racing. During the subsequent decade of development, the team has continued to use Mobil 1 oils. Extensive testing and post-race analysis reveal minimal component wear, and improved engine reliability and performance.
