Recently, automotive experts at the Mobil 1 Technical Center subjected a 2006 Volkswagen Jetta TDI, equipped with a 1.9L turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine, to extensive testing under extended-length driving conditions.
The vehicle accumulated 225,000 kilometers on a dynamometer, with oil changes completed at 16,000 kilometer intervals. The vehicle was operated to simulate everyday driving conditions.
